How To Host A Website As A Front End Web Developer in 3 Simple Steps

So you just finished developing your first site from the ground up. You used your html, css and javascript skills and now you want to show them off to the whole world and not just through your your portfolio or social media platforms. We can forget our good ol friend github.

In which you can actually show your code as a functional website. if you don’t know how to do that its really useful when displaying you finished coded sites. I might need to do a post on that since its great way for presentation

Now you want your site to have its own domain name, but how do you do that?. On word…Hosting

You need to host your site in order for your site to be seen, not just from your local computer, but live on the internet and for others to see. But how do you host a website. Well I’m glad you asked. I’ll take you through this short simple process in order for you to get your site up and running.

The steps in this post should fairly simple and easy to follow for you to place your files on the server.

I am already going to assume you know how to obtain hosting from a hosting provider and if not its a fairly simple process which I recommend host gator. They are reliable and very customer friendly and they have a plan where you can have unlimited domain names which is what I use and I think would be good especially just starting off as a developer.

Anyways moving forward. So you already have your hosting but now you want to place your files online.
